This selection of work is a small sampling of a much larger work completed over the course of six years. A Book of Life Part I : 2003 - 2009 is an imagined chronicle of inner life expressed through ninety pen and ink drawings. What began as a private work depicting intimate reflections of my changing life, evolved through three distinct stages to close as an ambiguous record of my first six years in New York City. An expansive narrative of things both lived and imagined.
